Flange Lookup Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 17, 2026

Apple App Store edition

1. Data sent by the App

This policy covers the Apple App Store edition of Flange Lookup. The separate Android and browser editions have their own policies. Reference lookups use data bundled with the App. The App does not require an Appalachian Integrity account and does not transmit your searches, viewed values, app activity or the local settings described below to Appalachian Integrity LLC (the Company). The App contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party crash-reporting SDK.

The App uses Apple's StoreKit service to obtain product information, make or restore the one-time Full Access purchase, and verify an earlier paid-app purchase. Apple's service may communicate with Apple and require a network connection or Apple Account authentication. The App verifies Apple's signed transaction information on the device and does not send that information, a receipt or payment credentials to a Company server. Apple separately processes Store, account, transaction, device and usage information under its own terms and privacy policy, as described in § 5.

2. Information stored on the device

The App stores these items in local app storage:

  1. Your unit preference (inch or metric) and chosen interface language, so the tables and interface use the units and language you last selected;
  2. A version-specific record that you accepted the first-run terms and reference-only notice, so the same version is not shown on every launch; and
  3. If your installed version includes the optional code-book import feature described in § 3 and you use it, the numbers it reads from your own file.

The App does not send these values to the Company, and the Company cannot access them. Apple manages its own on-device StoreKit transaction records; the App uses verified current purchase and earlier app-transaction results to determine Full Access. It does not ask for or save your Apple Account password or full payment-card number and does not create a Company account or licence key. Device operating systems, manufacturers and backup services may apply their own backup, transfer and storage settings and policies.

Clearing the App's storage removes the active local copy of its preferences, acceptance record and any imported numbers on that device and returns the App to its first-run state. It does not itself cancel an Apple purchase. Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account to refresh eligible paid access; Apple controls the availability of its transaction records.

3. Optional code-book import

Some versions of the App include an optional feature that lets you import your own licensed copy of the governing standard. Check the About tab in your installed version to see whether this feature is present. Where it is not present, the App has no code-book-import feature and the rest of this section does not apply. Where it is present: if you choose to import a copy of the governing standard you own, the app opens the file you pick with the device's own file picker, reads it on your device, and stores the numbers it finds in the app's private storage on that device. The app does not keep the file, does not upload or transmit it or the numbers, does not share them with us or anyone, and does not use them for analytics, advertising or training of any kind. We never receive them. You can delete the imported numbers from the "Your copy of the code book" card on the About tab, and uninstalling the app deletes them. This feature makes no network request and does not send your file or imported numbers through Apple's purchase service.

4. No app analytics, ads or tracking

The App makes no calls to a Company server and loads its reference content from files bundled with the App. Apple's purchase, product-information and restoration services are the separate StoreKit communications described above. The App contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDK and does not use an advertising identifier.

5. Store transactions and information

When you obtain the App, make or restore an in-app purchase, or rate, review or seek support through Apple, Apple processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. Apple may make transaction and sales information available to the Company, including transaction identifiers, dates and status, app or product information, amount, currency, taxes and fees, and device or regional information available through Apple's reporting tools. Apple may also provide aggregated Store, install, performance, rating, review and sales information. The Company does not receive your Apple Account password or full payment-card number through the App.

The Company uses Store information it controls only to administer purchases, refunds and chargebacks; respond to support; prevent fraud; maintain accounting, tax and legal records; and understand aggregate Store performance. The Company does not sell this information, use it for targeted advertising or create advertising profiles from it.

Full Access can be established by a verified current non-consumable purchase or a verified earlier paid-app transaction. Verification takes place on the device using Apple's signed information. The App does not upload transaction data, receipts, Store-account information or payment credentials to the Company. The Company does not operate a website checkout or receipt-recovery service inside this Apple edition.

If you email the Company, it receives your email address, message and any information or attachment you choose to include. A public review posted through a Store is visible under that Store's rules and may display the name or profile information associated with the account used there.

Store providers retain information they control under their respective policies. The Company retains a copy it controls only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above and as required for tax, accounting, refund, chargeback, fraud-prevention or legal obligations. Access to Store merchant and financial information is limited to authorized account users, and exported records must be protected according to Company policy.

6. Children

Flange Lookup is intended for industrial and professional reference and is not directed to children under 13. The App itself does not ask for or transmit personal information. Store providers handle purchases under their own policies. If you believe a child sent information directly to the Company, contact the Company so it can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

7. Your choices

The App creates no Appalachian Integrity account to delete. You can clear local preferences, the acceptance record and any imported code-book numbers through the device's app-storage settings or by removing and reinstalling the App.

For information controlled by a Store provider, use the applicable account and privacy tools or contact that provider. You may contact the Company about an order or support record in its control. The Company will address an applicable access, correction or deletion request after appropriate identity verification, subject to records it must retain for tax, accounting, fraud, refund, chargeback or legal purposes. The Company cannot alter or delete a record controlled by a Store provider.

8. Changes to this policy

The Company may update this policy if the App or Store-data practices change. It will update the effective date and, where required, provide additional notice through the App, the applicable Store listing or another appropriate channel. A material change to the App's handling of data will be presented in an app update and will require the acceptance process applicable to that version.
